Role Overview

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) seeks a Programme Associate on a temporary appointment lasting 11.5 months in Maseru, Lesotho. Operating under the direction of the Chief of Social Policy, the appointee assists the Social Policy Section in executing programmatic duties for the Youth Power Hub initiative, collaborating with diverse government ministries, civil society groups, diaspora associations, and youth networks.

Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent facilitates programme design, execution, financial oversight, and partner reporting, alongside tracking and documenting project milestones and outcomes.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants must possess a completed secondary education alongside a minimum of six years of relevant professional background in project coordination, programme administration, social policy, budget tracking, financial reporting, monitoring, data analysis, grants management, or capacity building. Essential competencies include strong organizational, analytical, and office management skills, alongside fluency in English.
