October 3, 2026

Job Description

Role Overview

The Lesotho Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS operates as an umbrella organization uniting community groups of individuals living with HIV throughout Lesotho. Functioning as a lead facility partner via sub-grant funding from EGPAF Lesotho under the GHSD Sole Source Funding Activity, the network coordinates integrated health initiatives. These efforts target comprehensive HIV case identification, care connection, and screening for chronic illnesses across general and priority groups. The organization aims to enhance initial epidemic goals by scaling up facility-based testing and managing intimate partner violence. Furthermore, operations involve supporting systematic tracking, monitoring, and follow-up procedures for individuals living with HIV regarding tuberculosis, prevention of mother-to-child transmission, non-communicable diseases, and mental health needs to encourage early detection, prompt care connection, sustained treatment retention, and ongoing health service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will deliver strategic and technical direction concerning tuberculosis, HIV testing services, and overall care while reporting directly to the Technical Director. Responsibilities encompass supervising program formulation, implementation, and everyday administration to guarantee compliance with national guidelines and fulfillment of epidemic targets. Key duties involve heading regional HIV and tuberculosis initiatives such as index testing, social network approaches, self-testing, and programs tailored for men. Personnel will connect newly identified patients, presumptive tuberculosis cases, and treatment defaulters to appropriate care while maintaining follow-up and retention protocols. Additional functions include building and enhancing referral frameworks alongside partners and community resources, guiding and mentoring specialized teams, and assisting retention case managers to decrease treatment interruptions. Professionals will also manage data quality verification, observe performance metrics, encourage ongoing enhancement, and cooperate closely with District Health Management Teams, the Ministry of Health, and relevant stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Midwifery, with a Master of Public Health or a related postgraduate health qualification considered an advantage. Necessary credentials include current and valid professional registration alongside at least five years of background involvement in HIV programming, featuring two years within supervisory capacities inside project-backed initiatives in the country. Candidates must exhibit comprehensive familiarity with local HIV and tuberculosis care protocols and policies, competence using Microsoft Office applications, and robust analytical, problem-solving, and time-management capabilities. The role demands the capacity to function both independently and cooperatively within fast-paced settings.
